LEGO® Horizon Adventures® is arguably one of the best looking LEGO games ever made. We poured our heart and soul into every build for about 3 years. That includes the awe-inspiring mechs like the Tallneck or Thunderjaw, but also the meticulously crafted landscape with lovely detailed rocks and vegetation.
The mechs are the star of the show in the Horizon franchise. The original designs are truly iconic and it was a treat to bring them to life in bricks. The challenge goes beyond faithfully representing them in LEGO, but they also need to be optimized for animation and performance. That is where our team can really apply their unique digital brick design skills.
An equal amount of attention and time was put into the landscape. The whole world is built from LEGO bricks, a unique approach that is part of making it look so wonderful. Designing yet another rock formation is seemingly not the most exciting design task, but by taking it as seriously as the mech design, the world looks as beautiful as it does.
